I got email and as per that

Dear Girish,

Nobody likes to pay sales tax, but everyone must pay sales tax! B&H, and only B&H, has the solution to the sales tax issue.

Tomorrow, May 7th, B&H will be making a game-changing announcement, and as a loyal customer, I’d like you to be privy to some inside information in advance that will change your shopping experience forever.

Nearly one year ago, the Supreme Court ruled that out-of-state retailers must collect sales tax on internet sales. This, of course, included B&H. For 46 years we have been committed to providing unparalleled customer service, and so we began the tedious process of implementing a way to eliminate the impact this ruling would have on our customers.

We are now ready to launch “Payboo”, the solution to the sales-tax challenge. Tune in tomorrow for details on how to become a part of “Payboo”!

I know you have many shopping choices for creative gear and consumer electronics, but with “Payboo”, there will only be one best choice: B&H!

I look forward to a continued great business relationship and remember, at B&H, the customer always comes first. That’s why we’ve created “Payboo” to solve the sales tax impact for you.

Sincerely,

Menashe Horowitz
CEO

Yes, I was not sure what this was and that is why I shared here to see if anyone else got it :)

Just got one, too. Sounds like spam.

I got one too. The links at the bottom do lead back to the real B&H site. FWIW, I ordered a camera from them last week and didn't pay any tax.

Real or spam, it doesn't affect me. No sales tax in Oregon, even over the internet. :D I don't have to pump my gas either... but I do have to put up with the tree hugging eco terrorist kamikaze bicycle fanatics, though. Even paradise has a few snakes in the grass.

I like pumping my own gas. In New Jersey we're not allowed to.

And I'm disappointed the B&H CEO isn't talking about the sensor dust in my Fujifilm X100

thats one thing amongst others that I really like about travelling to America, getting my gas pumped, they stopped doing that in Australia over 30 years ago.

Most states here stopped that longer ago than that ... back then while the gas was pumping they'd wash the windows and check the oil too ... :-(

In South Africa they still do all that for us, though some of the attendants are a bit lazy and need reminding that those things need to be done.

Interesting solution on their part. I always shop there for big stuff like cameras and computers due to the lack of tax.
Of course I pay it when the time comes at the end of the year!!! ;P
