I recently purchased the Canon G7 mark II.

I switched it over to RAW and when I downloaded the pics to my computer it doesn't show the thumbnail of the photos (in explorer). Which is weird since the RAW files for both my Canon SXi and T2i both show up just fine. I'm running Windows 10 and Photoshop CC. I don't use anything but Explorer to preview files before editing.

I got the G7 for a walk-around camera and to use while hiking (I hiked 20 of the New Hampshire (USA) 4,000 footers last summer and plan on doing most of the rest this summer. I really want to keep shooting RAW, but I've tried all sorts of things.

PS. I didn't realize it had been a year and a half since I was last here. I still see a lot of the same people from Before. Judi, vawendy, Art Roflmao, and Bear_Music on the front page to name a few.

I have the same issue with my G7X mk1. It appears to be that canon does not make a raw codec for Win10. The raw format might be updated as well. I don't quite know why the have declined to make one. I've run around the block a couple of times between Canon and Microsoft trying to find one and finally given up.
