I’m wondering how many people have a score over six I’m sure there are some :-)

4 votes 4.50
16 votes 5.62

I'm not among them.

Sounds like I'm killing this one at 5.75.

Two more votes 5.77, come on, where are all those people with six and over :-)

5.94 now. Maybe this should have been in the "Impossible" challenge instead.

Well darnsies.

I thought it was minimal editing. Just now saw that it's standard.

Darnsies.

LOL. I used to teach high school. The strongest I got in the classroom was "Piffle!" Some of the kids picked it up - we always laughed when they said it.

At an even 6.00 now. This is a strange challenge.

I'm up to 5.6 and very happy there. No need to go higher . . . but I'd rather not drop, either . . .

I really hope all those who participated take the time to vote - even if they ordinarily have an aversion to voting in challenges they enter.

Started at 7.5 with two votes... Crashed to 5.1 range shortly after. Now hanging in around 5.6.

Haven't voted. Will soon.

I had a quick look through the photos on my phone and they look really good. Voting won't be easy.

Tell you all one thing...my score might be ok but I'll be honest... Uta Barf's work and style certainly ain't my cup of tea. She herself seems at a loss most times as to what title to give to her works so she mostly just names them "Untitled'
Yet her work seems to appeal to a large segment of society who are prepared to fork out large sums of cash to have the "privilege" of owning one of her works. Well good for her but I would not want any of her prints to adorn any of my walls.
Oh well...as they say...different strokes for different folks hey

I like some of her photos, but there are many that don't appeal to me.

My photo is doing okay too. It's inspired by her work, but I'm not sure it's really her style.

Yes mine is not really in her style either...I kinda tried to interpret her work but more in my own style.

I'm not a fan of her work either, but at least she's "pleasant" and not "morbid".

The last three "in the style of" challenges that I remember are:

Edward Gorey (who wrote an ABC book of death for children)

Alfred Hitchcock (who changed cinematography by framing shots to maximize anxiety and fear)

And Charles Addams (of the Addams Family tv show of monsters)

It's a fresh new start, I hope! Ha!!

Exactly.

Many of the entries are well-thought-out or captured the Uta Barth mood, I enjoyed voting.
Voted 100% and and gave an average of 6.3

The TV show(s) and movie are based on cartoons published in The New Yorker magazine starting in the late 1930s ...

The opening credits to "Masterpiece Mystery" on PBS are based on the cartoons of Gorey

What I said is not correct, Gen?

I just wanted to clarify that Addams was a cartoonist, not a TV program developer, and that the TV show was based on decades of previous (graphical) material.

oh. Yeah! I knew that... And I actually learned a bunch about what a good guy he seemed to me while I was researching him for the challenge.

I enjoyed the TV show, never knew that he and his family were the "models" he made the characters after in his "cartoons".
