That was fascinating, thanks. Amazing how much history and actual facts they were able to dig up about that photo.

THanks Don for sharing that. It was fascinating and also quite a few of the other videos were interesting too. Nice way to pass an hour on a very wet Sunday afternoon

Yes, fascinating. Thank you. Here's a small story of the era. My wife has a newspaper article, in German, about her father, the youngest soldier in the German army in World War I. He was big, and ran away from home in his early teens to enlist. In the thirties some guy, knowing he was Jewish, looked to bully him and got beat up for his troubles. Her father, knowing a gang of them would be coming after him, went home, packed a suitcase, made his way to the coast and bought a ticket on the first boat out. He came to America and here we are today.

Amazing image and great detective work.
I have old family pics and the benefit of knowing what life brought to each one in the images.
Yes, the surprises of history and personal destiny,

Never believe a photo, even if you took it.

A fascinating story based on a single image. Thanks for posting.

Amazing photo and fascinating and sobering story, the narrator kept us intrigued all the way through.

Thank you for sharing.

This is another reason why I love photography, we are all storytellers in one way, and not all is what it seems.
