Here is a thread for posting your awards for your personal favorites. Here are my suggestions:
1. Give your awards in the photo comment before rollover.
2. Write a little something about why you liked it or what it made you think of.
Everyone is welcome to give awards or simply write about the photos that inspired you to write.
You have rated 84 of 85 images (99%) in this challenge.

You people outdid yourselves. I have a huge gallery to display, and there were many others that I probably should have included, too. I had masterpiece fatigue.
No "winner," though. The following are all equal winners, just in reverse score order.

this angle exaggerates the importance of the slightest gesture. emotionally dizzying.

imaginative and beautiful. I wish science fiction looked more like this

photographer as fishmonger, chopping off the feet. a subtle masterpiece.

this composition is exquisite and such beautiful textures.

oh yes the beauty of barely there.
I'm pretty sure those diagonals in the foreground are framing a roof. They are a strong unexpected visual element that pulls the whole image together. I feel like I'm on a boat in the fog. I feel like the world is a boat.

I love the light and color on this
and the subject
and the setting

I'm tired of stairway photos but having her look up at just that moment, with the light on her face, that elevates the photo
so it's more like an elevator photo

an exultant minimalism.

there are several visual tricks going on here. The foreshortened feathers echo the bokeh. The bird looks like it's chained by the leg. The bokeh obliterates the sense of depth and looks more like a curtain directly behind the bird,, which in turn makes the bird's perch look like a stage or a pedestal. I'm reminded of King Kong performing on Broadway. It's an absurd photo, but also absurdly entertaining.

This is a photo of echoes, the cat, the leaf, the wall, all echoing each other.
by jagar
a shot like this, which is naturally appealing because of high contrast with lots of black and good texture, needs a couple of extra elements to make it really special. In this case, the winner is the man's pose, specifically the way he is looking down and how this echoes the downsloping chairbacks on the right. the symbolic well on the ground doesn't hurt, either.

my top scores:
by insteps : a study in red and grey of truncated legs
by mariuca : the b/w treatment does wonders here by making very different objects quite similar, requiring the observer to use extended seeing powers. I like how the exterminator jumps at me out of multiple layers of meanings
by MeMex2 : everyone is moving ahead (albeit in different directions) to rescue their souls (this speaks the odriew language)
by jagar : it is indeed great and in a way it reminds me of the hong kong skyscrapers like so
