Pet peeves of mine...

- If an email consists of 3 questions and you answer 1 of those questions... Have you really finished the email?

- If within the email a signature with correct spelling of my name is clearly there, and you reply spelling my name wrong... You're just lazy...

- If an email consists people within the CC and you don't hit "reply all"... You're the problem with today's society.

- If you use slang in all of your emails regardless of who it's to, chances are you're not going to move up in the world.

- Using weird font? Just stop... It's annoying...

Feel free to add to this list... I'm curious if I'm not alone here.

Pet peeve of mine? People who whine about stupid chickensh*t like e-mails as if this is important.

I'm with you, Marko. I'll add to the list that I can't stand emails that place their content in the subject line, and nothing in the body. I frequently get those from a friend who'll send a content-less mail with the subject line "Golf on Monday?" or whatever. Dude, send a TEXT then, it's much more effective.

I agree with most of that... but sometimes... I either don't see that it went to me and others... or sometimes I want to reply only to the actual sender. I might want to tell them that their slang isn't appropriate here. :D

Ha!

Lol, Jeb. You can't tell me it isn't annoying though! Sure it's minor... But seriously like nails on a chalk board, some of these!

I've gotten my share of these too... Lol. Annoying indeed.

Lydia, I guess what I mean by this is when everyone is needed to be included and you don't. I can see some reasons why it's not needed or even wanted. But it's the emails that are important to all within the email chain. Lol.

And just the opposite. An entity sends an email requesting individual information to 100 people and they DO hit Reply All. Now all of a sudden I have 50 emails of information I didn't need and have to sort through to find my real emails. This happened on an Air Force base so you can imagine how many people hit 'Reply All', just stop it in that scenario!

Yes! Even more annoying is when it's just an announcement and 50 people hit Reply All to say "Congratulations!" "Great job!" "Way to go!"

If there's a Hell, then I'm sure there's a place reserved for the person who invented the "Reply All" button, right next to the person who thought it was a good idea to arrange the File menu so that "Format ..." and "Eject" are adjacent ... :-(
