Here is the problem. I used my right foot for the "My Left Foot Challenge" and rotated it horizontally to appear as if it is my left foot. I cannot tell you the reason because it will violate my anonymity in the challenge. I will explain in the description after the challenge is over. It is not a disablility (sorry for the leading title to this thread but I did get your attention. I mean no disrespect). Its just that my left foot does not look as good as my right foot (Stop Laughing), not that my right foot is that beautiful anyway. My point is, although I am writing this in a humorous tone: is this discriminating against people who cannot or do not want to take a picture of their left foot? The question is: Would anyone be disqualified if they used their right foot and rotated the picture to look like its the left foot or use someone elses left foot?

I've seen plenty of photos of reflections flipped upside-down with no issue, so I would have to assume flipping left-to-right would be just as OK.

That said, my left foot is prettier, so if you need to borrow one...

If you flipped your right foot, do you now have two left feet?

strangely enough one of my first thoughts this morning was What if one hasn't a left foot? could one borrow? who would know? what about a left shoe? what about two left feet? I put this forward.

My question really has to do with picture validation. I don’t think anyone would know that it is my right foot unless they saw the original unedited image or someone out there is familiar with my feet (don’t tell my wife!) So if the site council saw that it was, in fact, the right foot would the picture be disqualified?

Gosh, did we forget to list that all validations must be accompanied by a notarized affidavit from your primary medical provider? (j/k)

"Put your left foot somewhere unusual & take a creative picture ..." is part of the challenge description, and "DNMC" is not grounds for disqualification.

Thanks for the clarification Paul. Rest assured that no dental floss was used in the fabrication of my picture!

Well, there's no special ruling that states that it must be either your left foot or an actual left foot, which begs the question could you shoot someone else's foot?

As for your questioning validation based on the original showing it's not really a "left" foot, validation is supposed to be accompanied by an explanation of edits, so I'm thinking you're OK.

If I didn't have a left foot, so shot the right one instead, I'd still be shooting the one that's left... so no problem, eh?

The challenge is to place your left foot somewhere.

I really don't give a hoot if it's your right foot instead -- but having done this challenge before, I am not open minded as to it being someone else's foot. That makes the challenge way way way too easy.

Plus, if you flipped it, I probably would never know if was your right one.

Unless you're the person who has R & L tattooed on the appropriate feet....? :P

Left and right brain, now where would that take us?

Hahahahaha!

Brilliant.

I also think it needs to be your own foot. I don't care which one, but definitely flip it if it's the one on your right.

I had typed "your right one" but then I realized your right one is your wrong one and your left one is your right one.

I think it is way too easy if it is your OWN foot. I do it all the time.

Next time, let us shoot another's foot from underneath. Actually, this is all getting way too violent for me. Soon there will be nothing left.

Can we use a left hole Or a right hole? Or someone else's hole?

there, that's more like it: just use the hole in one.
