Having just had my entry in the "Darkness" challenge disqualified, I had a moment to feel disappointed that I had tried something different only to find that it was not within the rules. I take comfort in knowing that practically every individual in the top 20 overall points for 2017 had at least one DQ in their history and many others who have many entries also have at least 1 DQ.. What this tells me is that it is a privilege to have been disqualified! Those who have been DQ'd are the ones who have taken chances, pushed the envelope, tested the system, and have thought outside the box!!! Therefore, to all those who have had a DQ I applaud you:)
This made me think (Uh Oh!). Why don't we have a challenge called "Disqualified" The challenge is to pick a picture by another member that has been DQ'd and pay homage to that entry by mimicking it either by duplication, technique, or style of the DQ'd Image. The title of the picture would be the DQ'd image's name, challenge name and date of the challenge that it was Dq'd so that it can be referenced. . Of course this would have to be an Extended Rule set so no one would be disqualified!!!
This would be a great way to remove the stigma of a disqualification and also get everyone to review the rules.

As a survivor of 4 (at least) DQs I applaud and endorse your attitude ... :-)
However your challenge suggestion would have to be DQ Deja Vu II (last done in 2013) ... |

Wait, there's a stigma associated with a DQ?
