Here's the challenge: The winner of the auction is the one who bids the most comments (and actually follows through before the challenge closes.)

I bid 6 comments!

Rules:
1. you can bid more than once and up your bid at any time.
2. You MUST make as many comments as you bid, even if you don't win the auction. (comments can be made any time during the voting period, so I'll probably go start my 6 now.)

Bid early and often! Let's see how many people we can get to play.

Just like Mary Ann, I bid 6 that I already did

Right now it sounds like Mary Ann will win the auction. (I think the kiwi OWNS the auction house by now. :)

Do I hear 34...

33 going once...

Thanks all. If this condition continues I'll be in the next round. We are out of town. Funny though, I have no comments from Kiwi.

Yeah! And he hasn't commented on my "Ordinary" either, though he has on the rest of mine that are in voting. I think he may have reached his limit :-)

Ouch. Dropped .3 over the last day. Ordinarily I'd be disappointed.

Oh wait,

It is ordinary.

Waaaahhh!!!

Whoot!! Mary Ann won the first auction!!

The prize is:

Your site council member of choice will take you out for a decadent 7 course meal. That's ok with the site council, right?

Maybe I should have cleared that with them first....

We'll see what they say. If it doesn't work out, I'll probably create some dumb bling, or something. I think the seven course meal is a better idea...

So as I understand it you are offering to provide round-trip passage for Mary Ann and the SC member of her choice to Paris for a seven-course meal in some yet-to-be-named restaurant (minimum two Michelin stars please), correct?

Obviously the SC or Langdon was paying for it.

Maybe we should shift our attention to dumb bling then ... :-)
