Hey all, I have a healthy assortment of filters now - NIK, trials from FilterForge and Topaz - and as a result it seems that now many of those built-in filters in PS CS5 are unavailable to me...even though I suspect that what I am looking for is buried in there somewhere! What do I do to get them back?

Filters are disabled in CS when you are in a color mode that they are not used for (e.g., 32 bit color).

Or when you have selected a mask, or a layer that is the wrong mode as well.
