Photo storage and upload for GROUPS

I think I have mentioned "Indian Princesses" and guides here before.
I'm on the marketing / recruiting committee for our local chapter. I am looking for a good way to allow members to upload and store photos that they want to share.
NOTE: I have my personal smugmug page which allows for this, but what if I disappear? I'd rahter not have it be a part of my personal web site so it will be easy to hand off in the future.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. more info: the primary purpose of this will be to allow the photos to be used in marketing. I'd like it to be easy to view and download, but the layout doesn't need to be too fancy or customizable.

What about using Google Photos or even Flickr? If you are only storing Hi Res jpegs Google photos has unlimited storage

I am curious though, how long Google will make this free... Seems like it's fairly costly to them to host "unlimited" photos for free...

May be a risk for way out in the future. I can't remember the site that just recently did this where they didn't give a very clear notification that they were about to charge their users and basically held their photos hostage, until the person paid.

Just something to keep in mind.

ETA - It was Photobucket that I am referring to.

ETA 2 -From and article I found online - "Thousands of listings from online marketplaces like Amazon and eBay are now filled with unsightly error images by Photobucket after the photo hosting site quietly introduced a $399 annual fee to users who want to embed images on third party websites. Users are now accusing Photobucket of extortion, as the service failed to make the update to its terms of service abundantly clear."

From what I can tell, Google generally uses data and analytics to make money. I'm guessing they won't charge fees for anything, they just use what you do online to sell to businesses.

These days you can get web hosting service for about $8/month (usually with a contract) where you can control everything yourself -- you can use it for just storage/exchange, without putting up an actual public website.

With Amazon Prime you have unlimited photo storage.

I'll probably skip Prime photos because while I have Prime, I don't want to be chained to a personal Prime account.
Google seems to be the best option but I'm not sure I wasnt to force ppl to log in to GOogle �

How expensive is Prime for US customers?

$99 per year. Is it available in Italy?
