So how does that work ? Which browser ?
Doesn't seem to work in Safari.

I use Safari too and just press the number keys - 1 to 0 (where 0=10)

I recently missed to start a "10 years a member" jubilee thread. Still I would count me in on the loyal DPCer group.

To me this site is inspiring and it made me take a lot of photos that I wouldn't have taken without it, take walks I wouldn't have taken without it, or look at things I wouldn't have looked at. The results are most of the time kind of mediocre but who cares and I certainly learnt a lot over the years.

And I appreciate the friendly and helpful tone in the forums and in the comments.

I'll certainly stay around.

I don't know if I would be considered a loyal DPCer or not. 14 years and only 85 challenges entered. But I do love watching the forums and looking at everyone's art!

Registered in 2010. Entered my first member challenge in 2013.

There's no place like this and I don't plan on going anywhere. I thought my retirement in July would lead to more time here right away. It did the opposite. Who'd have thunk that the early stages of being retired would be so busy? But I easing back in and would like to be added to the loyal list before Art comes to get me.

I have been more out then in, but I do come back every so often, like now after no participation since 2013. I still can’t get past low scores, and get depressed so I leave to restore my vanity. I still think that the people who do stay with the site are really some of the best photogs I have ever seen. And they launched some fab careers for Joey Lawrence and Librodio. I still follow both of them on the outside, and know this place is a great place to launch from. Let us hope the site will stay up and running. It is too good to disappear from the web.

I too love this site but took a break for the last 2 years due to work and time constraints. I'm happy to say that some of those issues have resolved and I'm ready to dip my toe back into DPC again! So I'm renewing my membership today ( a great thing to do on October 1st!) and looking forward to learning and growing from my fellow photographers again! I've missed you guys AND the challenges.

Member for six years but just spotted this thread. I'm not going anywhere. I tend to enter in spurts . . . but I think I check in every day, even if I don't have an entry. What I love value most is that in that time and over 450 challenges, I have grown a thick skin - I mean like whale thick and armadillo tough. I can honestly say I am now able to enter a challenge with an entry I fully expect to fly, see it drop like a rock and lie there motionless on the ground for the duration, and simply shrug my shoulders and go out to shoot for the next one. Some people shoot for the "Brown"; that's fine, but I never do. But I've come within one entry of getting it and survived. I am here for the duration.

I've been a member for quite a while, and will stick around as long as the site comes up when I click the link.

First year here and came to learn. Really enjoy the challenges and encouraged to get out and shoot more. Feedback seems to be generally given with positive intent but the trolls mar my experience. For instance, in a current challenge, I have a "1" from someone who has only entered one challenge in 5 years. With "photographers" like that (if one pic in 5 years qualify him to be called as such), then I can understand why some genuine community members are becoming disillusioned.

Votes are supposedly anonymous. How are you able to identify who this is?

They left a very insightful comment: "1".

Have you ever considered that some people opt not to enter challenges due to the fact that they are rather busy with life outside of this venue, or that they might visit the place to learn things, interact socially with others and not be all that interested in challenges.

I have been here to a rather lengthy period of time and truth be told have not entered that many challenges and somewhat resent being viewed as the type of "Photographer" as you seemingly allude to and the suggestion that people such as myself are not "genuine community member".

Sorry to hear that you are becoming disillusioned, but have you considered that the voter in this instance might just have personal tastes and standards that differ from yours and that your image simply did not resonate with them?

I never cease to be amazed by the fact that no one ever questions the validity of a 10 score, but are absolutely aghast whenever they receive a score of 4 or under.

I can get next to this description. For the most part, I'm only concerned with meeting my own standards and once entered, I leave the results to the vagaries of the voters.

The thing for me that most defines the value of DPC for me is the community. The people are what make this place a true gem to me. I will always be here.

Too bad about your luck! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!!!!

Just glanced throught the last several comments. Here's my two cents worth:
- Except for a rare knife-through-the-heart feeling, I have also become relatively immune to low scores. This year I am focusing on quantity, not quality.
- I complain about the validity of a 10 score as much as I do about a 1, just never out loud because it's pointless (no pun intended) in either case.
- Ray is a genuine community member.
- I come back / stick around because of the community. Particularly a core group of people who have been here forever and are generally willing to put up with me.
- I always look forward to seeing if newer members can make it past the obstacles-to-enjoyment that we all go through. It's like the five stages of grief, which I don't have time to look up or analogize the first four, but everyone knows it ends with acceptance.
