as the challenge description was a bit vague, i did some searching.

here is some more info on "implied lines"...

Implied lines are more closely related to the way our minds “see” objects.

Implied lines most often happen on areas where the contrast between the object and the surrounding objects or elements is subtle.  They may exist on the edge of an object that is receiving light, producing an area of highlight set against a light background.  Or conversely, in an area of shadow against a dark background.

Implied lines are not actual lines that you are used to seeing. They are instead implied in the picture area. They are made by the way objects are placed within the 4 walls of your photograph.

Implied lines occur where colors and textures change at edges of objects.

Could implied lines also include the path (s) your eyes take to move around the image?

well, honestly, that is WHY i went and looked up what "implied lines" means in the art world... how are implied lines different from leading lines? ... and based on what i found and posted above, leading lines could be considered a subset of implied lines, but do not cover all that implied lines means

if you look back at the original Implied Lines challenge from 2004, there was a variety of interpretations

It's the sheer variety of possible interpretations that makes this an interesting challenge...

Thank you, thank you, GeneralE, for that. I thought I was losing my mind - and had lost about five days along with it!!
