Illustrate one of this British singer / songwriters Songs.

Although she may be not well known as Adele she has a huge following in the UK and Europe and down under.
" Jacks Room" would be somewhere to start.

Gotta lot of good images in her songs, that's for sure. Our metropolitan Asian DPCers are gonna go to town on "9 Million Bicycles", LOL

You're right about that. She writes from the heart, often in collaberation with Mike Batt, her manager and musical Director. He is also one of the " Greats" in British music.

It's more of a general voting public's last work. SC will not DQ an entry that's been based on a cover song.

I love Mary Pickford and Ghost Town.

Bear doesn't have the last word on anything, let alone on whether an entry meets the challenge or not :-)

Join the team :-( I just tuned 70, and I have to write reminders to myself for what I want to do 5 minutes from now, or I'll space out completely :-)

I love a number of her songs, but I didn't realize she wrote them herself.

By the way, I believe her name is spelled "Katie". Could someone please fix the thread title?

Probably ok to talk about this now as it's been a few years but it may surprise you to know that Katie was actually a member here for a short time. She joined because a friend of hers pointed her to the site. She pm'd me about one of my shots and we struck up a conversation that lasted about a year. We shared a Dropbox folder and she sent me shots from all the places she was at and even some shots from her childhood. The funny thing is, for as popular as she is everywhere else, she is virtually unknown in North America, so I had no idea who she was and she admitted she liked that.
All in all she seemed like a lovely person, for as well as you can know someone through email. Glad to see this challenge.

Well, it's an Open challenge ... why don't you send her a note and see if she can win her own challenge? :-)

if she would sing, then we have the makings of a Band. SiL is a music teacher, and guitarist and eldest grandie (13) plays the drums in a band.
