Any one with experience with STK brand? I noticed that it shows full charge and then after a few shots, it just goes off with no sign. It's not just one piece, I have 4 and all behaves same way. genuine Canon is 4 times price of STK so kind of debating to buy more STK or just buy original?

After having bad experience with 3th party brand batteries, I ONLY buy genuine Canon. It is worth the price. They last longer, keep their charge don't get hot. Here in TW there is a huge market of other brand batteries, some are really good but the price is similar to originals. I have 3 original Canon's and recharged them 100's of time. they still perform as new.

One of my original Canon just lost his life (after 2 years). It shows that it is charged 100% but when I put in all three bodies that I have not bring them up.

Thank you!

While reading, i found that someone mentioned to buy used like from Amazon for lower price as someone must have baught it and returned it. I can try that route to get original for lower price.

Careful with that... read down further, what he actually received from Amazon were no-name batteries that wouldn't even charge, and he wound up returning them and filing a complaint.

if ship and sold by Amazon, would that still be an issue?

Hard to say; you'd think not, but...

If you are not afraid of having to return, perhaps worth the risk? Dunno, for me I am sticking with OEM.

check your charger. plug it and unplug (on the charger, not the outlet) clean the contacts.

I use SIDO branded batteries. They were offered by the retailer where I bought my camera, a quite reputable chain in Hong Kong. They were part of the package and they are great. I also have the same brand for my Oly and lumix.

Thank you guys! I will check out all the options including the cleaning of the contacts to see if that helps.
