I found this link and there are some photos to give an idea of conjunction:

you may need to copy and paste.

the challenge says show where, when, or how any two or more things coming together... definitely not only in the astronomical sense of the word "conjunction"

Thank you for setting me straight. I had just googled conjunction and there are many types of conjunction. I just found this and thought the photos were pretty cool. That's what I get for not reading the entire challenge. LOL

I have an English degree. I immediately thought of grammar.

My first thought too, Karen. And the list of possibilities is long.

(Re-posting link because the other didn't include the close parentheses and so didn't work)

That song has been going through my head every time I see this challenge. Catchy little tune!

This is all and well good, but how do you go about photographing it, and who thought of this challenge anyway??

And... there... we have the question that we all ask, each challenge topic announcement, but... you seem to say, when we view your answering imAge... "it's so easy! Just take a photo. "

Ba da BING! There's your ribbon.

You're a natural, Anita.

After seeing the level of confusion in impressionism. Think i'm going to pass on conjunction and any other challenge that isn't easily self explanatory. Too much room for DNMC due to different perspectives on the challenge meaning.

I'm not singling you out, because you're far fromn alone in this, but this kinda attitude drives me batty. I have NEVER not entered a challenge because I don't know what the voters are going to like, and I don't know why anyone would think that way. This site is all ABOUT competition and challenges. They wouldn't be *challenges* if they were all obvious. For me, half the fun of voting is to see the different ways people *interpret* the challenges, so I hate it when people decline to participate if there is no obvious interpretation.

But that's just me. I realize others think differently.

At first I wasn't comfortable with the notion of photographing an idea. Then I got over it.

Where the sea meets the sky is a conjunction.
dog catching a ball
2 people holding hands
any intersection
a 360 pano
peanut butter & jelly

Just give it a try! You never know. I got my first ribbon because it was different from what voters expected. What is the consequence if voters rate your picture DNMC? No top score, maybe even a very low one, but at least you tried.

It's not 'what the voters are going to like' at all. It's the voters understanding or perspective of challenge based on the actual limited 'Description'. What I should say is! If i'm to enter a challenge. I'm going to first look at it as if i'm going to vote on it. If the description of the challenge is unclear. Then i'll probably pass on entering such a challenge.

Its the confusion based on what i personally feel is a limited descriptions leading to DNMC's by voters. It's not a lot of challenges, but they do present.
