Not trying to do anything new. I'm trying to do something nice. Some people have expressed a concern that their comments may not be welcomed by the photog. So here's a list of 'safe to comment ' photogs.

Maybe it would start something new and interesting. If photographs are posted on this thread with a comment it would be easy to follow and participate. Maybe there would be whole discussions about a specific photograph. Even if only one photograph per challenge became the subject of a discussion it could be very interesting. I would still make my normal comments while voting but i might comment on a photograph in this thread that i would not otherwise have commented on. Seems like it is worth trying.

You can add me to the list.

I suppose it is actually good to see the list of the willing expand, a kind of emphasis on what it is we do here.

Add my cantankerous name, tnun

Lydia

But, I doubt I'll check this list before I go to comment on an Image.

Is it really a problem to receive a comment after voting is over?

I never knew.

It's nice to know who actively WANTS constructive criticism. And it's to be hoped that those who put their names ON this list to receive will also be giving... It could start a trend. I applaud the effort.

I encourage everyone to comment if you are so moved and stop coddling the whiners. So I'm sorta with Barry on this one. I'll add my name here because I accept any comment, but I won't be checking in to see if I should leave a comment. You're either part of DPC or you're not.

Sorry, but there you have it.

Well said, Johanna. And on that basis I'll hop off the fence and add my name too.

I welcome all comments on my sparse (I keep forgetting to enter) entries and am more than willing to offer comments on lonely photos who didn't get any but would like some!

Won't it be so much easier if everyone who wants to sign up to this indicates their preference on their profile page in some standardised way? - Maybe make it the first line of your Bio?

That way if you want to comment on an image, you only have to view the photographers profile instead of tracking down a random forum thread and scanning through to see if their name is listed.

If this was officially sanctioned, Langdon could even add a field to the profile.

I'm going to take a little license with this and quote the comment here as I would *LOVE* discussion.

So...what was the distracting element?

I'm boggled....I thought the two main distracting elements that were glaringly obvious were thge microphone in front of the guitar player's face and that searing blue-white light in front of the band.

They both seemed to me something I would get pinged for in a regular challenge.

Obviously, with my score, they were not so glaringly obvious!

That microphone and the light stripe made me toss a good half dozen images and *NOT* send them to the band. LOL!!!

I have to agree with pixelpig, didn't see what you saw for the distraction Jeb. It was a busy photo so could have been any number of things.
