Which is the current User-friendly (most preferred) version of Adobe Photoshop?
Is some Trial Version available? Can someone provide a link?

Wow, Krishan........ long time no hear from you. Glad you dropped in for some advice.

Sorry that I can't help. I'm still using Photoshop, and my only other advice - for phones/tablets - would be to check out Snapseed.

I didn't find either Photoshop Elements of full Photoshop particularly user friendly. I had to learn through videos or with colleague help and then I would take notes so I could hopefully remember for next time. (I've forgotten much of what I learned, turns out my note system was not very good.)

I liked Elements because it did what I wanted and was relatively inexpensive - at least compared to the ongoing paying of Adobe that I do now - but that payment to Adobe gives me access to Lightroom that I use constantly. Online tutorials for Photoshop tend to be quite good, I've used those alot, and I like Photoshop being available when I need it.

Lightroom is much more user friendly than Photoshop imho.

I thought there was a free trial of Photoshop available through the Adobe website. Google 'Photoshop Trial', one of the top search results was an Adobe link.

I use Corel Paintshop Pro. Does almost everything Photoshop does, and is more user friendly in many ways. You can usually find a current version for under $50 USD. I am using X4, but the current version is X8.

Photoshop Elements without a doubt in the world.
Not sure about where you are but it is on special offer here.
Just search Photoshop Elements and never look back.

There is a trial available.
It is always much easier to be "current" because they want you to subscribe.
If 9.99 a month works for you, I would suggest getting this.

As Jules1x said, Lightroom is is user-friendly - in that you can work with many images very quickly.

I use Lightroom and Photoshop (as well as the design apps in the Adobe CC suite) and am lucky enough to have a license through work that I can use in 2 locations.

may be a silly question because I never played around with paintshop pro, how is really this different the an advance version of lightroom?

I am looking forward to the answer to this, as I have no clue as to what you are talking about ;)

I use Lightroom and PsCC. I don't use bridge...I personally don't care for it but many others do.

I will share links...what are you curious about?

For the last month, I have been using the online tutorials.
I do not have Photoshop yet.

When I subscribe, do I get an option OR do I get the latest version?
01/30/2016 09:31:40 PM · #17
Latest version

Thanks for that, Janine.

Once I get started with a few edits under my belt, I'll be right back at you to see how you mastered Sleepy Hollow Farm.

That image is absolutely magnificent.

I always start in Lr then move over to PsCC to finish.

Anthony Morganti on YouTube has the best freaking Lr tutorials. I've learned a lot from him...worth every minute.

ETA: I also have and use the Nik software. It's amazing!!!

I was actually thinking... Nik is the user friendly Photoshop. I don't use that many features in Photoshop, because nik does so much of it.

WHat about this? As I posted before.
Photoshop and Lightroom (and more) for $9.99 / month.

Seems like a great deal for Photographers who don't need the other parts of CC.

I totally agree with the PS for Photographers bundle suggestion. Lightroom does 95% of what I need it to do and it's got an interface that was designed with photographers in mind. There might be other editing packages that might be more intuitive but with those "other" ones I've found that the user community isn't is big. Photoshop and Lightroom have huge user bases and consequently there are hours upon hours of video tutorials available (and Ja-9's!). Maybe it might be good to have an idea what topics you want to cover or get advice what to learn? Photoshop has SO much functionality and there multiple ways of doing pretty much everything. I'd recommend having basic understand of layers and masking because everything else stems from those topics. I know the Photoshop interface can be daunting but once you play around with it, it really isn't that bad.
