I wonder how many of those deaths were from illegal guns vs legal guns.

How many good meals were served with knives vs how many peeps died from knives...

Nothing to do with guns.

A thought or two: We have more (MUCH more) of a threat from people we live with and around now than from any potential "terrorist" - just think about how many people commit crimes every day, from simple burglaries to child molestation. If everyone stops to consider every possible form of harm that could befall them or their family, they'd have to build a wall around their home and never leave. There are FAR more good people than bad in the world. Walling out people, deporting people, banning people based on their religion - none of these things supports a healthy, safe society. In fact, it strengthens hate, prejudice, and fear, making that society far more susceptible to being overtaken or overthrown.

We certainly have an abundance of hate and fear, or at least the press and the interwebs would have us believe.

Go out. Say hello to someone you don't know - maybe even someone with a different skin color. Volunteer at a religious institution OTHER than the one to which you belong. Say hello to someone else you don't know. Donate time (or money if you're able) to a charity of your choosing that serves people where you live.

Quit living in fear and arguing about guns (they're here to stay) and go out, be positive, smile, be thankful. Live.

I was just trying to help people be prepared for ONE of life's scary situations with a little training that might stick in their minds IF the unthinkable happens to them and there is a person trying to kill them in a public place.

Nothing more.

Other threads can help people with other life problems/life helps, I'm sure.

Exactly.
