cynthiann - you're doing a great job. I'm so glad you resurrected this side-challenge. It was fun then, and it's fun now.

Meanwhile, here's my first one for today.

I did this late yesterday, and my steps are a bit hazy by now, but this will be close.

dupped kitty 3 times.
enlarged canvas, and added kitty #2 to kitty #1 (vertical)
committed a Flip & Blend (I think it was a half-F&B)
excised 3rd kitty and put her on her new rug (and told her to go back to sleep)
Viveza 2
Fooled slightly with colors & cloning distractions
Dfine2

One more:

crop
viveza 2
Color Efex - 3 filters
viveza again
dfine2 x 2

Here's another...

Crop
viveza 2
Selective colors (white, neutral, black)
tiny HDR adjustments
dfine2

Grahamgator's Picture

Spent a lot of time with this one...
First I cloned out all the lines and poles nand houses, etc./
then I used HDR in PS for the sky./
And adjust the structure in NIK Vivenza /
Masked out all the rest but the sky/
Mask the mountains and separated the front mountain from the back.
Changed colors of the water/
Applied different color filters on the mountains and the front trees/
Used dodge and burn tool/
Created a lightning in PS (make cloud b&w, invert, adjust levels, cloned out the resulting lightning and adjust manually the branches of the stroke.
New layer for the rain (white dots all over the screen, cloned few times, applied Motion blur to it and changed opacity)
Final adjustments with blur tool

I think I've got 'em all done except that for some reason, I cannot open SpiritualSpatula's image. Just get the 1 pixel x 1 pixel message.
Derek, did you put a hex on it?
:)

FromDaRock's Picture

cutout the animal and rock.
started with new layer and used the layer of the animal to sketch in photoshop
copied the layer and stretched it out, rotated 90degrees to make the rocks on the side.
Did this 4 times with each time using the manual distort tool in PS CC
Add shadow blending on each layer.
flatten down and used charcoal effect in PS. erased some parts.

Hopefully that's it.

I'll put processing in the photo comments.

Maybe I'll edit my own as well just as a "reference" edit?

Skewsme's picture

Cropped/
Cutout the bird and adjust sharpness (high pass and unsharp mask)on the new layer
removed the grain from the bird with another filter "perfectum2"
Add a very light yellow white glow around the bird to make it pop out a little more.
High pass filter on the water and changed the hue on the water.
Used a Gaussian blur on the rest and use the manual eraser tool to adjust local focus.

Am I safe in assuming we have until end of day on the 23rd? I still have some editing to do yet. Don't think I will get them all done, but I want to get as many as I can.

I think that's everyone. I'll add some processing details in a bit. I want to go finish voting on the autumn challenge.
