Thanks! Bit blurred on the left side and perhaps a bit too close to the one Mae entered (we were on the same shoot.)

Have a couple more in varying stages of processing, but this one was mildly amusing.

I liked the one you entered the best, gave it a 7. Where did you find them all?

Remember that pond back behind where we saw these guys? We found egrets over there. A productive evening of shooting as evidenced by Mae's lovely entry:

(Brian was shooting film - we'll have to wait awhile to see his take on the pond!)

Then we walked back and had dinner at that same place at Fisherman's Wharf.

I prefer your alternative entry mainly due to the composition though to be fair there isn't a lot in it.

PAUL, to me, your last chook says "feathers" more than the other lovely choices.

My entry was doing good and I'm really happy about it. I don't think that my alternatives would have scored better, but I'm curious about your opinion nevertheless, since the others have a totally different style:

I think you made the right choice. I like the idea of the girl with the wings, but those wings aren't really up to the task and the lighting on the wings could use a little work.

Pretty much nothing like my actual submitted feather image.

Entry

Not really an outtake, more of a conception shot. I really (really) wanted to capture a falling White Tailed Sea Eagle feather but struggled to get it sharp so (kind of) cheated and tied a tissue with kitchen paper and created the 'trail' with that.
