So, in a discussion that came about in our DPL team, I decided to actually learn technically what a function of PP is, how it works, etc (Unsharp Masking). I've used this before, but never understood WHAT it's doing, I just played with values until I got a result I like.
So, at work I don't have access to editing tools, but I do have google.... a few minutes later, I found This Site which has some information about how various PP features work.

Looks like there's a lot of good (generic) info there!

Somewhere there's a link posted to a place which has detailed explanations of how the different Blend Modes in Photoshop work -- useful if the Flip/Blend challenge suggestion is taken up ...
