Another month beginning with "M" and another "Madness" bracket.

Just like the DPC March Madness tournament, May Madness will be run over 4 weeks, with a 5th week reserved to determine an ultimate champion in a "grail" match should it be required.

The "Rules"
The first challenge of the tournament will be that announced at rollover next Sunday/Monday i.e midnight May 11th.
Then the next 3 challenges announced after that will be rounds 2-4 of the tournament.
If, and only if, a playoff is needed between division winners to determine a winner, that challenge will be the next challenge announced (after the challenge used for round 4).
As the tournament makes use of 4-5 consecutive challenges, this tournament is open to MEMBERS (a Registered User could only participate in one or two of the rounds).

The "Players"
Currently, the following 32 members have thrown their hats into the ring:

I will accept new entries into the tournament up until NOON EST on Friday May 8th, which will give me a couple of days to put together the bracket prior to the announcement of the first challenge.

Format will be the same as the DPC March Madness, but the bracket may vary depending on how many people are interesting in playing. The bracket will be tweaked to ensure all that want to participate, can, for the entire May Madness period.

We had heaps of fun in March, and hope to do the same this time... if nothing else, it'll get me taking photos for challenges, which is a good thing in my books.

Let me know if you'd like to join in.

With more people than last time, there will be a few new trophies up for grabs.

Currently up to 25 participants... any more takers?

I was in the running for the Cup last time, but in the end I didn't get to take home any hardware. I'm hoping for something this go round.

If only obligation is to enter challenges... no babysitting, highjumping, thesis-writing, etc., then count me in.

I would like to try this out. Not too sure about the rules?

Rules schmools - Rules are pretty simple really... enter the next 4 (possibly 5) challenges announced and watch your progress in head-to-head battle with a variety of DPCers... you're success is dependant on the quality of your photos, how well the voters like it (doesn't always correlate with the quality of the photo) and the luck of the bracket draw.

It's really just a bit of fun and a no stress way to get people taking photos and entering challenges.

At the end... you'll walk away with one of the numerous virtual trophies on offer, or one of the virtual runner-up ribbons.

ETA - 45 minutes to go to join-in on the madness...
