I will be asking for critiques on mine if the votes continue like this, it could possibly be just the way it was processed too but I am not sure. I thought it fit the challenge perfectly in more than one way.. wasn't gonna wait around for the first vote to happen LOL, ppft not to happy about this one. Or people just do not understand what leading lines mean at all. This was one challenge I thought I was actually familiar with that had to do with photography and was excited about :-D

I thought I had a rather good interpretation of the challenge with a decent photo.. the voters disagree 5.5

4.4?? I've been here long enough to know this is not that bad. Judging from the other posts here, I think there were just a handful of harsh overnight voters. Perhaps. It could actually suck.

Avg vote 4.4000. I thought I at least met the challenge. 4.4000? Come on, it's not that bad!

Well... looks like the first handful of voters agreed with my interpretation

And I didn't see too many I disagreed with when I was voting

You have rated 77 of 77 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.9740.

Jgirl and Jomari - I'll race you to the brown :-)

I knew mine wasn't a 'traditional' shot of a disappearing road, and therefore at risk, but I did actually look up a few definitions and examples to check I wasn't completely off the mark. I'd be interested to know if I'm being voted down for perceived DNMC, meeting the challenge but badly, or just dreadful photography!

I do actually mean that - I can live with comments on any of these points of view whether during or after the challenge - and I won't answer back, I promise :-)

4.625 - and yet I love my shot. (Although it definitely wasn't leading lines in any normal sense - but I wasn't sure if that traditional definition was the only acceptable definition or not.)

That's the problem here, you never know how the voters will define a challenge.

Little lower then I expected, but I knew going in that my photo did not follow a traditional leading line definition.

I've only looked at about 1/3 of the entries. I could find a leading line in all though some were stronger than others. Problem was, there weren't many "good" (IMO, of course) photos among them. My definition of good would include interesting, well taken and processed, eliciting emotion, making me linger and/or calling me back and not necessarily all of these in the same shot. Maybe that's why so many low scores. Oh, and I definitely count my entry among these - it's uninteresting, the antitheses of emotionally moving and engaging, and not particularly well done technically. I just made it up to a 5 and, frankly, that's about what it deserves. Early days yet, though. Plenty of time to go up . . . or down.

I've dropped a full 1.0000 point in the last 11 votes - I don't like where that leading line is headed

Mine is on generally the same sorry trajectory. I am just hoping things level off soon.
