What can be said? Intense SuperBowl. WTG Pats!

Talk about a close game. Congrats to the pass. Crummy last play call by the hawks to pass and not run Lynch into the end zone.

Worst play call in the history of the Super Bowl.

Worst play call in the history of the sport. They lost the super bowl on that.

Terrible play call. Maybe they were feeling guilty because of the gift reception that got them to the goal line in the first place? That was totally bizarre...

And maybe it was the rampant cheating by the Patriot organization that got them to the Superbowl in the first place Robert.

If you have any proof of that, bring it to the attention of the league and they will deal with it. Otherwise, it just seems like sour grapes.

What an awesome game so many awesome plays from both teams but wow the last few plays were amazing...

It was pretty cool the coach admitted he made the wrong call and owned up to it, but I have never seen a play being thrown at the 1yrd line... but that interception was just awesome!

Just really off and weird,

Usually, I do not get into football much but these plays in this game were just outstanding and so intense..

in the end GOO PATS! WOOT~!

My favorite comercial was the pac man thing! I want to do that and have that in my back yard LOL
The half time was really awesome as well, just an overall one of my first times and first games I really enjoyed watching

at first i was agonizing "why didn't they give it to Lynch?" but after listening to Carroll and Bevell I kinda get why they did it and just have to give props for the guy from the pats making a great read and play. I was over it fairly quick. I mean, my team went back to back and have a Lombardi in the case. Here's to next year and the rumors the Hawks may go after Larry Fitzgerald.

Exactly, I'm sure the coach figured if the pass didn't work out they would have another shot or two with Lynch.

Congrats to the New England Patriots.
What a pleasure it is not to hear Richard Sherman's mouth after the game or all week.
Bill Belichick is putting on a head coaching clinic, Pete Carroll tried to out smart the greatest in the game and it cost him the Lombardi trophy.
As for all you Brady hatters is your quarterback willing to restructure his contract to free up money for your team?

That being said GO GIANTS!!!!

Incredible game!!! I couldn't believe that the seahawks went for the touchdown at the end of the first half. Gutsy move! The catch towards the end of the game that almost won the game for the seahawks was incredible! Still can't believe they tried a pass at the end.

But that's what a Super Bowl should be!! (Or do I have to say "superb owl" since I don't have permission from the NFL.)

I miss Colbert!

The end of the game reminded me of the Professional Wrestling championship wrestling matches of my youth. 1950s-1960s. Just when Mad Dog Vichon was about to defeat Verne Gagne, an unexpected event occurs to cause a reversal of fortunes to everyone's surprise. That was entertainment. This is entertainment. To paraphrase: Money corrupts…absolute money corrupts absolutely.

Controversy and accusations of bending the rules follow the Patriots because, quite frankly, they invite them. Julian Edelman quite clearly suffered a concussion early in the fourth quarter, and NFL doctors radioed the Patriots sideline to alert them that he had to be tested for a concussion, guidance that Belichick and his staff ignored. Edelman went on to make significant plays through the quarter and eventually caught the game-winning score, and has since refused to acknowledge whether he was tested or not.

Would it have changed the game had he been tested and ruled out? Who knows. The Seahawks lost one of their best pass-rushers when Cliff Avril was tested for a concussion in the third quarter, and was ruled out for the rest of the game, under league rules. Would Brady have made the fourth-quarter comeback if Seattle's pass rush still had Avril? Who knows.

It's easy to label it sour grapes because there's a loser involved, but I can assure you there are fans of all teams across the country that are annoyed that Belichick repeatedly plays by his own set of rules.

Edelman had his bell rung Avril had his lights turned out. BIG difference.
If you want to call out a dirty play by the Pats it's when the defender tripped then reached out and tripped the reciever.
It has nothing to do with Belichick but that was a dirty play.
But even after the pick Brady still had to get out of the endzone to prevent a safety and the Hawks jumped.
2 points and the ball back COULD have set the Seattle up for a field goal for the win.

?

there is no way you can script an nfl game. no way. those guys fly around too hard and fast. if anyone attempted to follow a script, you see it, as it would look so out of place. how do you script the way lynch runs? how do you script the bobbled miracle catch in the fourth quarter? how about the interception on the goal line?

you can't. the game just happens and those unhappy with the outcome will bitch and whine.

you could argue that Edleman wasn't concussed, but is legs and hip were bothering him. the dude could barely stand up after some plays were over.

its a shame that a team had to lose that Superbowl because both those teams gave it their all, it was incredible to watch.

I wasn't unhappy with the outcome of the game. ??? I believed in Pro Wrestling when I was a boy. It was a PT Barnum&Bailey type show. So is the Superbowl. You are naive to believe otherwise.

What you are advancing here is again but mere speculation. If there is proof then it should be demonstrated.

Your scenario regarding the possible outcome are unproven theories that would not withstand close scrutiny since the variables you throw in simply cannot be measured.

The head coach for the Patriots plays by the very same set of rules that are out there for everyone else and in the instance where something was proven, both he and the team paid a price for it.
