SO here is the story;
Grew up in the country,parents bought a 'restoration' cottage. It pretty much had 4 walls and 1/4 of a roof from the 17th century.
BUT there was a farms and 1 farm sold brussel sprouts by the stalk for 2pence (1 cents)
So if you have never experienced sprouts for breakfast lunch dinner, and all made out with sprouts, you are not missing out. My Mum (not the best cook) went on a 1 night cooking course, they made CHinese food (back in the low 80's so rare for a course to offered)
You got it, brussel sprout spaghetti, brussel sprout fried rice, , she even went as far as to freeze brussel sprouts in the winter on sticks in the garden and then pour some store bought chocolate sauce on them as treats.
Funnily enough, I am the only one that hates brussel sprouts in my family. I DO try them ONCE a year, just in case my taste buds have shifted. Nope. Can't say I do not try though.
