Shot from about 80 yards, with a telescope that was stolen, and found three years later, by the neighbors, in their farm ditch in Michigan. The original owner sent it in for a repair estimate. They said it could not be repaired, so he gave it to me.
I took it all apart, and cleaned the mud out and off everything, and it works ok for me now. It's a beast to handle though because it weighs about 45 lbs without the tripod.

ETA,
It's good to see you back Buzz!

I realise this is only a happy snap but I am trying to find the best way to process the bright whites in bright sunshine (jacket & waterfall) without making them look dirty grey.

Any advice from you wedding shooters (anyone really) is appreciated.

Week 3 - I've had a rough start to 2015. My 3 cats got really ill, and I had to help my favorite, Zachary, pass over the Rainbow Bridge last Monday. My heart is broken and I haven't been in the mood to take photos. The good news is that the other 2 cats have recovered, and I head out to Oahu Hawaii on vacation on Thursday. I am posting two additional photos from my January 1st photo shoot. I know it is kind of cheating, but given my month, posting photos that were "processed" in week 3 will have to do! I was able to shoot something for the shoe III challenge today as well.

Here is my favorite photo of my Zachary - entered in the Best of 2005

Thanks Julie, I miss him horribly. One of the unfair things in life is that our pets live such short lives in comparision to our own.

Week 4:

A drone shot of Highfield House, an historic site that is part of NW Tasmania's' colonial heritage.

Wish I could say that the trendy blurred effects were purposefully done, however I'm afraid they are due to a rather scratched and hazy lens cover. I have a new one arriving this week but I rather like this so may keep it.

Week 2 - nothing much taken that week

01/25/2015 08:35:54 AM · #99
yeahhhhh week 4!

Here is a Juvie in flight

I realized 1.. this was jpg because I forgot to change it back after our minimal challenge was done...so I was able to do less editing on it than what I wanted to do to it..
I thought this bird was beautiful and this picture did not serve this picture well, he was much more beautiful in person.. I kept following the beauty... just aaahhhh loved it.. after 30 takes I finally got something decent.

2... wrong ISO and aperature because..... well, I had it for another bird I was watching in the trees

All these newbie things you think I should remember after a yr.. LOL!

I was happy how it came out still though evven though it could have been just a tad sharper..

I am really enjoying just shooting things I love.. makes it so much more fun and if it fits in a challenge well yeah for me! LOL

kinda sad because today is my last day for counting.. these birds are already starting to migrate north again.. :-((
