I petered out at 30 weeks, but I'll give it another go. I'll just put in 'whatever' as maybe the problem was sticking to a theme. |

I made a list in the image thread, but there's still plenty of room for more people.
Now a year is a long time with busy life, holidays etc. Wouldn't it be nice if people can do this (making a Photo-a-Week, preferable with a theme) for just a month or so? Just a thought.... |

I am 0 for 2 in completing this but hey maybe I will do better this year. I am going to leave the theme open and I am aiming to atleast post an image every two weeks if I can't do one a week.

I've come full circle with my photography, in a way, and would like to try this again. The past two or three years, I have shot a LOT, but almost all of it was for someone else. I really miss just shooting and having fun with a little camera. My theme, should one develop (haha, see what I did there?) will be "The Simple Things" because I am making a concerted effort in my life to make things simpler and less hectic.
We'll see what happens. |

Grand to see your name in the Forums again, Karmat! And it will be a delight to see your week by week images. |

I want to believe I can post a photo-a-week for a year...experience has taught me otherwise, though! I spent most of my free time in the last year making jewelry & would like to spend some time this year figuring out how to photograph it. I've been looking a typical product photography for jewelry & I'm not impressed. I want to do something different. I'm hoping for some critical comments from people in this thread maybe some ideas.

You'll probably get more help if you move this to the images-posting thread ...
My first thought is to work on focus-stacking so you can take macros with more depth but in-focus throughout, similar to what you've posted, but it would let you shoot at more angles. Also, if I was designing a "catalog page" for your jewelry I'd probably show the item being worn in addition to one or more close-ups. |

If it isn't too late, go ahead and sign me up. I'm going to leave my theme open for now, I'll probably try various different things. Hopefully I can keep up this time :) |

I think anyone is welcome to join -- just start posting in the images thread ... maybe flag your first post with "Hey, count me in!" or something so you can be added to the "official" list ... |

What I need far more than an incentive to shoot more is an incentive to dig deep into my archived files and process more.
Provided that's OK, I'm in with the topic: "Photos archives".. |

You could make it so you pick one shot during the same week in a previous year ... |

Interesting idea Paul, that would be worth a try although logistically I'd rather work through one year at a time (at least for the culling aspect that I anticipate being part of this process!) |

I think I've attempted and failed a number of times... lets see if I can NOT fail this time. Theme:....???? How about "Macro" which will give me reason to play with my latest photographic toy. |

I'd love to try this now we are travelling full-time, so I'd better make my theme 'travel'. |

I'll give it a shot. I would like to do portraits so I can practice to get into the business a bit. (plus it works with sempermarine's side challenge. :) |

I would like to join this. For theme, I like to try different techniques which I have not yet explored. |
