Description:
Use two complementary colors to compose your photograph. For those of you who need a refresher, your main sets of complementary colors are red/green, blue/orange, yellow/purple.

Last time this ran, 4 years ago, it was under the old Basic editing rules (likely to prevent color shifting in post). Having said that the best option would be the Minimal editing rules today - could be a challenge for sure. Could we do Advanced editing with a special rule of "no color shifting"?

I doubt it -- any tone adjustment will "shift" colors and I for one am not willing to make a judgement between "just enough" and "too much".

I think Minimal Editing would better suit your goals in this case.

FWIW Basic editing allows for more color-shifting than Advanced, because it is tool-based, so it's pretty much anything goes in using Adjustment Layers, as long as you apply the changes globally.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. It's been awhile since thinking about 'Basic' editing. :-)

Ha. I almost submitted a new challenge suggestion for this one AGAIN. LOL I also brought it up a few months ago (that time I did create a new thread - but suggested Archival). After consideration I think I'd prefer to see this in standard editing rules (not Archival - tough subject to find - better to just create a new image). :-)

So ... after 10 years since the last time, how about it?

Standard Editing

Just took a quick peek at the entries. Well done! I was worried that peeps might have a hard time coming up with something for this. I shouldn't have worried! Nice.
