how about a challenge for teh lowest ranked people on the site? I bet there would still be some good shots.

You mean like less than a 5 average after (say) 5 submissions?

I think Paul is referring to us 3 megapixel, non ribbon winning, point and shooters :P

Am pretty sure there are some <3mp ribbon winners out there, but like the idea of a sub 5.1521 challenge :) the cam you use should not be the deciding factor as there are many fotogs using p&s that put me (and many others)to shame.

Perhaps a less than 3 megapixel challenge rather than one based on score. Even the playing field a little.

Must be a point and shoot (non-SLR)... (of course, I just bought a dSLR, but, I can always borrow my son's camera.)

Sounds good to me. I'd qualify for that one.

If it is 3.14mp than you would be going against me and a few others who have ribboned with those low end cameras.

It's the dslr that is harder for me to understand.

I'll be in the running no matter what, with my "bomb" in the Touch challenge.

Oh the humanity!!!

Oh you think I'm kidding about it bombing! It's the perfect example of what happens when I try something new.
4.7 range is not good.
Oh well, at least I know of one person that likes it and that makes me happy.

Complaining? Not a chance - laughing at myself is more like it!
:)

How about 1.3 MP or less. ;-) My daughter has my 4.5+ year old Olympus 400Z (or was that 450Z). It still works but my 2.5 year G2 died (though I did take over 25,000 shots with it).

I'd go for cell-phone-camera shots, but I don't have one of those ;)
Actually, that would still be fun to see.

3 megapixels? What's that? I'm still shooting with 2.0

Perfect challenge I'd say, I have been slacking on entering challenges lately.

I think a sub 3Mp (or similar) challenge is a great idea..

I've had some great shots out of my Coolpix 2500, but rarely use it now I can waste disk space at twice the speed :-).

I actually have one decent shot from my old Sony Mavica 1.3MP
(a little PS didn't hurt either)

...wasn't too long ago I actually thought it was great camera!
