YES please! Thank you Luna! This was suggested back in 2007 but unfortunately it never went anywhere.

To help me understand, can you link to some images, by the artist ...that are photographic in nature. I like the illustrations and sketches. I must be missing something.

I'm not sure I'd need examples of his work that are photographic in nature to come up with something photographic that has a theme/mood inspired by his illustrations.

I saw and looked up some of his stuff, his moods are pretty deep and dark arent they.. they almost reminded me of Tim Burtons stuff...

How would you be incorporating alphabet just in basic objects we see every day?

I like it.. would like to try something different

He was not a photographer, but had a very clear style that could lend itself to photography.

Here about half way down are some portraits inspired by Gorey. Jon Bolden

Another series here Claire Rosen

The alphabet title comes from a Gorey book called The Gashlycrumb Tinies. Here are some examples from that book GIS

For translating Gorey to photography, I believe that mood is just as important as subject.

He was a local legend around here, lived down in Yarmouth, near the base of the Cape. His house is a Gorey Museum now, open to the public :-)
