Hi Rept

could you post the specs for this shot??? I think people would learn a lot from the camera settings (including me!). :-)

why didn't you send it for challenge?!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo disappointed with what I saw in Stoped Motion II. This shot would get 10 from me. Love the light!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes didn't enter because I'm not a member and I haven't really entered in open challenges yet so...

About the setup:

Shot with the Tamron 70-300 at 70mm.

Aperture: F8
ISO: 200
Exposure 1/60 sec
Metering: pattern
Flash set at -3.0

The flash was the new sigma EF500 which is compatible with the D70. I put the glass on a kitchen cooking pot, covered by a piece of paper. Behind the cooking pot I put the flash, aimed at the background (another piece of paper) and I made sure it was centered with the glass.
I put the D70 to commander mode and selftimer on. When the first flash happened (to wirelessly wake up the sigma) I started pouring the water and less than 0,6 seconds later the actual exposure happens.
I made a small sketch:

B
G G B
GGG B

CAM GGG B
PPPPPPP B
P P FF B
P P F B
P P F B

P is the POT
G is the glass
F is the flashh
and B is background :)

I hope it's clear.

Hmmm previous sketch didn't turn out very good, I guess I'll have to show my drawing skills now :)
