Anyway, this is my current score....

not to speak out of turn, but even if tpl *did* (which proven data disputes) modify voting, it wouldn't cause it to plunge that low.
sounds like your image just didn't resonate with voters. it happens.

Oh I am in no way, shape or form blaming TPL. In fact, I didnt even know about TPL until it was mentioned in here.
I knew my image wouldn't resonate well with voters, but I entered it anyway because I happened to like it. I was just making a statement about the whole low voting thing since many others are discussing it. That's all :)

You have rated 236 of 236 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.9576.

I was just thinking what a high scoring challenge this was going to be before I started reading this thread. I gave 9 x 10s and 24 x 9s and a ton of 8s... It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I didn't choose my first pick (or second or third, etc.) because of my infamous lack of original files, but I am happy with the one that I chose and I am fairly happy with the score, ESPECIALLY given the high quality of photos in there!

Can someone please tell me what the heck TPL is? I feel so out of the loop. I googled and came up with Third Party Liability, but I don't think it was that (or the Tacoma Public Library)...

Well, the whole point of the secret society would be lost if you were told.................

Then I say congratulations. It's a hard thing to do and hard thing to see that people do not share your appreciation on a given subject.
As long as you can hold your head up and say "i'm proud of this image" or "i love this image" for a reason that has personal merit, you have nothing to ever worry about because photography is art, and art is entirely subjective.

and now for something completely different (the point of this thread initially):

2 of 3 comments mentioned a small flaw I missed when I looked before submission. Considering that, I'm quite happy with the score.

Good work Mike and thank you for the comment. I know how difficult it is to do anything when looking after kids so that is quite an achievement

Don't you mean "while taking care of 2 month old twins" or even "while having 2 month old twins around?

BTW How are things going? You guys getting any sleep?

And thanks much for the comment.

I think my lack of grammar skills answers that :)

Some nights ok, some terrible. I look forward to the consistency we got with our son at ~ 4 months.

Isn't that a rather cruel question? Like asking about the dietary preferences of a famine victim? As the old joke goes; Yes I'm sleeping like a baby, I wake up every half hour screaming, starving and found I have soiled myself.

I'll go ahead and Ditto that statement. Not everyone will appreciate everything and that is a good thing.

I just didn't think your word order gave your wife the credit she was due for her "labor" :)

At two months old, that would either be construed as "having [to deal with]" or a LOT of credit for labor.

Sorry. I never intended to correct Mike - just trying to be funny/punny. I thought he would think it was.
