The crowd was really harsh with mine but then again, I thought it would be well received, but obviously not..it doesn't matter anyway.. my gun was my brother in laws fathers so when I gave him a print he was ecstatic for it and loved it. He never had a picture of his gun before.. that gave me all the satisfaction in the world knowing he enjoyed it. I kinda wonder now if I put in my right outtake LOL.

Good to see some of you are getting better scores though.

I have not checked out the other pictures yet for the voting cause I have to start work and get logged on, but I can not wait to see what you all have came up with.

I just really hope people are not dogging the guns down on points just because they don't like them, but going off of photography technicalities instead. For the lower points I would really love to see comments on why..
What did I do wrong in my photo? Was it the lighting, composition, focusing? Details would be great :-))

If we start talking about vote behaviour this thread will finish into the Rant section :)

Nuuu Nuuu I haven't had my coffee yet! I think that rant was well done and beaten with a bat on that other thread LOL

Back on the subject. Mine stands at 5.54 :-). Nice symbolic score for a Guns challenge.

I'm hoping for a 5.56

Not a clue as to why this is scoring so poorly. Must be getting a lot of DNMC votes, which is ridiculous. Wasn't this to be a challenge about guns? How can it be DNMC if there is a gun prominent in the frame?

I sure am glad I hobbled out on my injured knee to make this photo. Apparently, the effort/result is not all that appreciated. Next time I'll pass and keep my leg propped up on a nice soft pillow...
