From angels to flying pigs, parasailors to mayflies, give us an entrancing image of something with wings. Extra points for out-of-the-box imagination. Expert rules.

Awesome!! I loved winged things!

I'd rather it was advanced editing, because my expert editing skills seem to be going downhill, and I'd stand a better chance with advanced. But, if we wait a week or so, maybe I could come up with something fun with my daughter (who'll be home from college!!! Yippeeee!!)

We don't get as many challengesas we once did, to practice Expert skills. I love to look at the images, beginner & expert.

I would be interested. Expert edit rules are not needed. There's plenty of beauty and detail in nature without faking it.

Where would The Wizard of Oz be without the Flying Monkeys?

Where would The Wizard of Oz be without the Flying Monkeys?

Where would Alice in Wonderland be without the gryphon?

Where would Greek Mythology be without Pegasus? and Icarus?

Where would Lord of the Rings be without Smaug?

Where would Apple be without the Flying Toasters?

and so on

Nature is just a starting-point. Imagination is God's gift to the human race. It is good to let it out for exercise once in a while.

It's fairly difficult to photograph things emanating from one's imagination. Of course, much easier to draw or paint same.

In reality, there are a whole host of angels and demons around us…hiding in full view. Those are the things I enjoy photographing.

Hey, you people who live in wildlife- or bird-dense areas should not be shooting down expert editing. You wouldn't want it to be only advanced if you had nothing but a few robins and crows on the other end of your lens. Hahn and Wendy, I'm talkin to you! And Wendy, come on, do you seriously need to 'stand a better chance'? pfft ;-)

Extra points for not using a lens with a number greater than 100:)

It is true that urban areas would have a lot more winged monkeys and smaugs.

Don't be afraid to try Expert editing! You have an imagination in there somewhere, just go find it!

Read about the Cottingley Fairies. If 2 little girls can do it, so can you!

Does this mean we can make flying unicorns?
Take a real horse and do graphics for wings?

Make mystical things like fairies and angels?

If it's made an Expert Editing challenge you could do this, with the restriction that you must shoot/create all of the elements within the challenge submission time-frame -- no taking last year's horse picture and adding wings now.
