I've got one that just needs a bit of polishing and it should be ready by the end of the month.
This is a lot of fun.

I'm in. So I hope it hasn't died of neglect. It's interesting to see what people create to post here.

Glad we continue - I will participate even if I produce only a partial gathering of images.
Posting on May 1?

I have hopes.

If you're not using it, can you send it over here?

Twice I started with colourful images of humans or animals, and twice I ended up with inanimate harsh B&W abstracts. If the next one ends up there, I'll be forced to buy a Nikon as it must be the camera's fault..

Funny you mentioned this color vs B&W thing Herman!
I decided to post a color photo cycle to challenge myself a bit and stray from B&W - at least it's a good experiment unless one is color blind.

Now you gave me an idea for a title. Why not "colorful humans" or, to stay away from metaphor and more to the point "humans in color" (and perhaps squeeze an animal or two)

ah, hopes (pronounced hopeeze) may be a new disease... as for colour I have an old Nikon p and s that does better black and white than any of my conversions.

Mariuca, did you mean that - "squeeze and animal or two"? I'm sure in the gentlest of ways...

Soooo... Guess what happened? I started to get my nice elephants into a folder for consideration, but after 15 minutes I was busy collating close to b&w moonshots. Went through 2009 to 2013 images, [+- 100 000] and NOW I read this reply instruction order...

And me with no tags on any of my images. Why didn't you phone to tell me? Hehe.

Mine's ready. Except for the title. Oh, I have one. It fits and is accurate, but it is so irreverent.
And oh dear, does it not do this photo essay justice.
What's a girl to do. (Where's Ann Landers when one needs her.)

Good ideas, guys.

1. Let's rename this thread Discussion and Previews for April Photo Essay Challenge

2. Let's make it a requirement that all photo essays start as a DPC thumbnail, regardless of where they end up. Comments can be collected there.

So, (er, um) it's May already. Next step?
:)
