Intriguing!!! If we can only use one photo, does that mean no textures? Or can we have a textures special rule? |

Textures are encouraged! I wanted to enforce a photograph rule to keep me under control! I have a tendency to rely on other photographs on occasion in an attempt to enhance my work. I need a side challenge with some structure and I thought it might be fun to see what others come up with. I often will experiment with techniques, but seem to revert back to my comfort zone. I'm concerned that I am missing out on something by not sharing my "experiments". So this is an attempt for me to break some creative walls I have unconsciously developed.
I really hope you participate. The more who participate, the more we can share and learn.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm in! ( even without the textures I'd be in. :)
Now I have to figure out which portrait to pick! Or take. |

This will be a real challenge with one arm immobile - the taking anyway. It will be interesting to see what I can do.

I hate (making) portraits, but I like speed challenges! |

As I walked by with my portfolio of goodies, I saw that this challenge was on. There were, just by chance, [nudge-nudge, wink-wink] ten useless images that fit the bill, so here they are. Well my definition of the bill in any case.

Well I had an SP I was gonna use, but the wife decided to let me shoot her, so I had to start over late in the game here. Better her than me for your sakes. :)
Original:
Some filters and edits applied
using OnOne's PhotoTools and
a little bit of cloning and
who knows what else...
Some more selective blur added
and some detail enhancement
using fractalius...
This one went a little haywire.
I was trying for a comic book look,
but gave up on it...
(forgot this one) "Steampunk"
filter from OnOne PhotoTools...
A BW version of the first edit...
And finally, the one she will
KILL me for if she sees it -
an Age Progression edit because
I just got bored and went to town ;-)
*eta: I missed one, so I did get six edits. ...but missed the deadline. :(

I will be posting my shots very shortly. Due to Semperlight savings you still have time to meet the deadline. :) |
