So how do we vote on cliche's ?

Is a stunningly original re-working of a cliched theme, still a cliche ? Would it not be fair to say that the most original images don't meet the challenge and should suffer as a result ?

Confused,

You are absolutely right:
In this challenge quantity (i.e. as many clichés as possible) and quality of the picture counts.
Originality, i.e. wonderful views to the world never shown before, should be voted harshly down: if there is a challenge for dog-noses then let there be dog-noses.

Like the song title challenge, I will simply base my vote on the quality of the picture. Creative and original shots of a cliche subject will get bonus points, however.

that could be detrimental way of looking at it, what if you think it is an orignial photo, but don't get it, just cause you're not on the same wave length doesn't mean it should get marked down.
hopefully peoples titles will help give the cliche away.

anyway i am off to search the worldly widely webbly for cliches i can use.

Everyone's welcome to their own interpretations of the topic, but I definitely wouldn't say this is a 'quantity' challenge -- that is, the more cliche objects you fit into the frame, the better you should score. I think it's about shooting a cliche subject well. I personally think that originality in shooting the shot would definitely be a good reason to improve someone's score.
