Obviously I'm a homer for Seattle, but I'm not so stuck in fan mode that I don't think Denver can win. Still, people who think it's in the bag for Denver are probably in for a rough ride.

I think the first drive by Denver to start the game (and there's a 100% chance they will start on offense no matter who wins the flip) will say it all. If they march down and score a TD it will be a long day for Seattle. If they are held to a FG or a punt after a 40+ yard drive then it will be a close game and if they go three and out it will be a long day for Denver.

The player I fear the most for Denver is Wes Welker. He gave us fits last year when Seattle beat New England. However, we have a superior defense to last year. Browner was mainly guarding Welker last year and he wasn't up to defending a small, quick player. Byron Maxwell or Jeremy Lane will, hopefully, be more up to it.

BTW, Mark, that is a terrible reason to cheer for Denver. :) I think you should dwell on it a bit longer and change allegiance.

Oh, and I like Orange. :)

I'm guessing Seattle wins... seems like their year.

A good reason to cheer for Denver: my late Brother was a Steamboat Springs lifer and a rabid fan. I know he'll be watching from up there, and he'd hex me bad if I rooted Hawks.

The Broncos routinely defer possession if they win the coin toss.

Ah. I didn't know that. I figured they would want to put their best foot forward. Seattle, likewise, defers.

The general strategy of the Broncos has been to score last going into half time. And then, to score first in the third quarter with the possession they deferred at the beginning of the game.

Well, I'll tell you what. The Broncos can score last in the half if the Seahawks can do all the rest of the scoring for the half. Deal? :)

Manning - pocket protection = Denver loss.
Manning + pocket protection = Denver win.
Refs + eyeglasses = Denver win.
Lynch + beast mode = Seattle win.
Lynch - beast mode = Seattle loss.
Harvin + Desmond Howard impersonation = Seattle win.

I think that pretty much covers it.

Oh boy...

Isn't there supposed to be a game? Looks like only one team is playing.

One playing football, the other playing possum...

I've got a fever, and the only cure is more Harvin around the outside.

At least Bruno showed up to play!

Now that Denver is down 36 points I wonder if they will stick to their wildly conservative game plan.

There are people all over this country,
holding strange numbers in the office football pools
who are going crazy during this game.

FYA - The Puppy Bowl has a winner!

How happy is that guy who got that Seahawks 48 champions tattoo back in August?

Seattle D-Backs better stop trying to injure the opponent before they have to put in some wideout at safety ...
