Guess I am your only 4 am so far...... Wish it was later :(

I was just about to ask - who the heck put in the 4AM? Are you nuts? I didn't even know clocks could register that early!

Then, I remembered that I have a little baby girl at home, and though she pretty much sleeps well now, there was a time when I could say I knew what 4 AM looked like quite consistently.

I'm the second, it's actually 4:25, but still, it's pretty damn early.

Why? Coz I have kids. I like peace and quiet. Getting up at 4:25 AM is the only way to get some. I drink a LOT of coffee BTW.

4am would be great. That would be sleeping in. I'm at work by 4:15a

I run a hyperbaric chamber at a local hospital gotta be there by 5 am to get everything up and running before the patients start coming. We are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies. During carbon monoxide season, more than four hours sleep between regular patients and emergencies seems like a blessing. I'll take the 4 am wake-up as long as I am off by 3 pm for a nap ! :)

is that physically or mentally?

my body gets up at 6 am, but my mind wakes up when ever it feels like it, which is usually later afternoon

Nope, I'm up at 0400 also. Work from 0600 to 1700, unless its a weekend and we start at 0500 so we get some of the afternoon off. Of course that has been the last eight weekends.

Man, you're all crazy.

I get up at 8:30, only because I would lose my job if I got up any later. My boyfriend works at the same company, on the same team, and gets up at 7. He's crazy too.

On weekends I am lucky if it's still "morning" when I climb out of bed :)

My mom gets up between 3 and 5 am, for no particular reason, since she doesn't have to work or take care of kids or anything. Wierd.

EDIT: I don't drink coffee.

Wow... people where do you live?!
Most people I know do not get up before 8:00.
Well, no, I'm lying. My mom gets up at 6:45. But she's an exception. I for one get up around 9:30...

I have to be at work sometimes between 7:00 and 9:00 but after 3 years they just gave the idea up...

you guys make me jealous....i go to bed at noon and get up at 2pm...then it's off and running..getting the kids from school...going to school myself...and then off to a twelve hour night shift..get the kids off to school in the morning...take care of the one left at home until he goes down for nap...i would kill for a regular schedule that I could sleep at least part of the night and be getting up around 6 am!!

Depends on the day. Earliest is on tuesdays and thursdays when I have class at 12:30, so I have to get up at about 11:30.

But generally, I just don't even need an alarm clock, 'cause I wake up every like half hour anyway.

On mondays and wednesdays I have class at 2:00, and it's hard for me to sleep past 12, so there's no problem there. And my work schedule is never in the morning, only after 3pm when I work, I never ever need to get up early, which is really nice.

Usually around 10 on the weekdays .. and 11 - 2pm on the weekends .. I totally take advantage of REALLY sleeping in sometimes on the weekends.

On that note - what time do you go to bed???

Myself, I'm a real nighthawk and sometimes I don't sleep til 4am. I usually get 6 hours sleep per night. Quite enough. ;)

well, sites as good as this don't help in the sleeping process.

When voting begins or ends for a challenge I've entered, it's 5am, else it's around 8am. I usually get to work around 11am and finish around 6:30 - 7:00pm (no breaks) and do a lot of work from home. Sometimes I end up working until 2 - 3am or stay up the whole night.

Wow, great response so far! I think the poll has 71 votes now.

If you haven't voted yet, vote here!

(feel free to read the rest of the blog, too, if you want.)

I know, occasionally you get the 423 Locked error out there - something wrong with the server at my ISP, I suspect. Sorry about that.
