My main gripe is that most of the photos I take are iPhone shots of the cat doing funny things.

So, I want to know how I can take a badly lit, out of focus shot of a cat and turn it into something gyaban might enter into 'feast'

Where's Waldo? I'll tell you- I shot him. Shot him dead. Couldn't help it. I snapped.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject, when do we stop using Roman numerals for challenge numbering? I expect in a couple of years we'll be onto 'Yellow MCMLXII'

why the 6th waldo challenge when there are several fresh topics being offered? Maybe Cory can come up with a rationalization for this.

My guess is that he queues up several challenges in advance, to try and avoid those instances where there's no new challenge at rollover, and so the most recent challenge may have been scheduled some time ago, before those threads appeared/were bumped.

Personally, I don't like it when a challenge is posted directly in response to a suggestion thread, because I think it gives an unfair advantage to those who have been discussing the idea, and perhaps even experimenting with the technique/subject in advance. I prefer when the suggestion just goes into the pool of possible topics and comes up somewhat more randomly ...

So my Earliest Memory from DPC is that challenge topics just suck. I try to look for some kind of Rhythm but instead I find a Paper with some boring Politics stuff. Then I misread the name and think there is gonna be a Wine challenge... I get excited and it turns out it's Winogrand :( So why don't I just go and W(h)ine?, while looking at my poor Art(sy) shots from 2013?

(How did I do? :)

If it wasn't winter here, i'd go shoot something like this for the politics challenge.

Alas, i'm stuck in poor downtrodden Ottawa, seat of the Canadian government. What could i possibly do for a political image.... ;p
