It looks good on paper. It will be interesting to see how it fairs in the reviews. Of particular interest is the improved Live View focus. If it is what they claim, it's a big step forward.

Maybe I'm just biased, but I really don't care for anything that uses SD cards. Maybe I'll change eventually, but for now I love CF.

an interesting camera for sure. I wish the review had been way more explicit about the multiple exposure feature. nice pizza video, but best of all was the skookum rig (in the making of the video video).

I do agree to an extent. I think, however, that the days of CF are numbered, even in pro gear. We bought a 6D here @ work for microscopy, and we have a 32GB card for it. The card is not a speed demon, but honestly it performs quite well. And no bent-pin worries!

My pocket camera uses those.

:)

Seriously though, my real problem is that I have hundreds of dollars invested into CF.

I can remember that cost was an issue with CF cards when I had to make a choice between 512 MB and 1GB

LOL, seems the only thing that depreciates faster than a camera body is a CF card!

ETA: you remember those supposedly "faster than light" subatomic particles? They were actually CF cards depreciating.

Current SD cards don't get to the speed required for continuous full HD raw video. See more at //www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?board=49.0

that dual pixel cmos AF might be pretty useful.
