Twasn't me, but remember that this site runs in EST, so that's well before bedtime on the left coast.

We're wondering about this one, too.

Remember!! This challenge specifically says the photo must be taken this week...

It was not the hour of the night that amazed me. I know that most of the folks on this site are young artists so there is no clock.

What was amazing is the assignment was given the shot taken and out of the camera and on the board in an hour and a half. The 90 min. was coast independent.

Does the file need to have an EXIF date? I'm not considering cheating or anything, but is the file date enough. Of course, if I take any old file and resize it for dpchallenge, it automatically gets a 'valid' date. :)

We will be going by EXIF data for submissions that have them. Those that don't, we will probably email asking for an original with exif data. We are aware that a few cameras (namely some mavicas) might not write exif data -- if you think your camera doesn't, take a picture of something with 'dpchallenge' written on it while you're at the place of your shot. It'll have to work for now :)

Hmm... so does anybody know of a resize program that keeps the exif data? Neither IrfanView nor PSP 7 do.

You should get a DPChallenge logo and send out business cards (to those who request them) with the logo printed large on them.

ACDSee & PhotoShop 6.0 don't seem to mess the exif data on my pictures.

I have a Mavica that doesn't have the EXIF data on the photos, does my submission have to have a little DPChallenge post it note or something in it? Or will the little post it note photo just have to depict the location of our submitted shot just as proof and you will request it additionally? I think that's what you are saying here!
