I apologize if this isn't the best place for this post. I left DPC several years ago after starting a family and not having a lot of free time to shoot.

I'd like to find a photographer near Albany, NY to take some family portraits. I want to stay away from the typical mall portrait studio but beyond that, I don't know where to start. I'd like to find a photographer who can bring out the best in young children and make them feel comfortable. I don't know if that means a studio in someone's home or doing a shoot outside or maybe at my own home.

Any suggestions on finding a photographer or things to think about while planning family portraits would be greatly appreciated.
