Expert rules.

Stieglitz was a titan of photography. He could be his own challenge. So could O''Keefe. Opening it up to the superset or intersection of the two is also something I could get into.

Add Imogen Cunningham and it's a real winning combo.

Interesting. I was looking at the calla lilies in my yard this morning, and thought Georgia O'Keeffe would be a great challenge topic. Then I come here and somebody has already beat me to it.

I, personally, have no idea how I would come at this, but I think it would be an interesting learning experience to try. I guess I am with posthumous, I would be happy with any challenge that is either one or some combination.

"It's my private mountain. It belongs to me. God told me if I painted it enough, I could have it." (Georgia O'Keeffe)

Stieglitz was a horrible man, but a true artist with the camera.

We were privileged to stay at Ghost Ranch for a couple of magical days right after 9-11. (We were supposed to be flying to Alaska for a family wedding, but, of course, the planes were not flying...) I can understand why Georgia O'Keefe loved it so. This was "bd" (before digital) for me so I only took 10-12 rolls of film, but I really wish I had taken more. I would love this challenge.

This is one of the images (scanned - not very well)

a very interesting new book on this topic plus their connection to Paul Strand and Rebecca Salisbury:

But it is Standard Editing, not what the original poster asked for

When it was originally requested, "painterly" effects and "old-camera" texture overlays weren't allowed in Advanced Editing. Now they are OK in Standard, so we're good to go...

I will do Stieglitz and self-portrait instead ;)
