I've always found it hilarious when people complain about how uncivil the forums here are. It makes me feel like the only person who has ever been into uncensored forums, and makes me feel like I'm residing in the most suburban nook of the web left.

LOL, I wonder how long this Rant will continue. Oh let me stir the flames. Canons are better than Nikons! Windows is better than Mac OS! "even though Microsoft has been writing the code for Apple for years and Apple never claimed to be a software company" My car is faster than your car! "even though I don't know what kind of car you have" I think it is not just being Human that makes people argue of the dumbest things, but it is the Ego that will not let one consent to defeat; even when proven wrong. You know 75 percent of all statistics are made up.. Yes I just made that up. LOL I guess it could be worse. I could be forced to live in Canada! I kidd I kidd!!! I love you Canucks! Fell in love with Canada after Strange Brew you hosers!

ROFL - considering I split my time that I waste on the net between watching LiveLeak videos (the smoking remains of the old Ogrish), and DPC I don't think I could possibly get a more diverse 'net experience ... At least, not without joining an online Christian's group and spending more time on 4chan.... ;)

Really though, the ghostflipper knows what he's talking about, this place is so totally pedestrian. (and I love it!)

Seriously? You like never go in the /rant forum huh? I can tell because you missed religion, guns, and gay sex. Those are really the only subjects upon which we are usually able to disagree on for more than 5 minutes.

You've obviously never been married... Jejeje. But, seriously, it's gay MARRIAGE that has folks at each others' throats...

No I never go to the rant forum. where's Legal Beagle, I see the General and Bear and the usual gang here LOL. Guns, Depends on where you are from religion depends on where you are from and how you were raised Gay Sex, I dont care what anyones sexual preference is. It is theirs whether or not I agree with it. People tend to forget the differences between Rights and privilages. Again Depends on where you are from what is a right or a privilage. People tend to Forget their rights end when they infringe on someone elses rights. Rights change with society for the good and the bad. Just because we say so today does not mean in the future we will not "think" differently tomorrow. I used the Canon vs Nikon, PC vs Mac as a neutral more common discrepency instead of inflaring or offending someone for their Beliefs. "Beliefs= Guns, Religion, Abortion, Homosexuality" Those things to me are not worth arguing. How many times has someone convinced you to change your mind on any of these Beliefs? Personally never. I say live and let live and if you believe in a God then you will be judged by that God upon taking the eternal dirt nap. If you do not well then nothing but you will cease at that moment. Has no direct effect on me. So I don't beleive in the same thing as you and you don't believe in the same thing as me. Well as long as we don't interfear with each other we should be fine. Oh and if you don't like a law either change it or move on. Thanks Probably been the funnest rant I have been in well since 2008 when I left. Will most likely be the only one I will comment in since I started it. LOL Have fun taking pictures and enjoy each and every day of life you have in this crazy thing we call the Universe. Go Notre Dame Football!!!! Yes I know I'm from Alabama. Sorry ex wife family drove me to dislike Alabama. Nothing personal except I want to know how much Sabans Soul cost?

Oh and if Homosexuals wish to get married please by all means go for it. I have been through the divorce process without ever being married and it sucks. Not all marriage end up falling apart, but I would say it is a pain in the rear I would not wish upon my worse enemy.

That's a shame - I've honestly changed my views quite a bit in the /rant forum on a variety of subjects, and rarely engage in a debate where my views don't shift at least a small bit.

There are some very intelligent, and diverse folks on here - I've found them to be a fascinating way to expand my worldview.

So, in a nutshell, "Be excellent to each other."*?

Why is homosexuals getting married even a subject to be brought up in a "rant" forum? Are there people against it on this website? If one chap wants to stuff his penis up another mans buttocks, that is his own business and his own right to continue stuffing for the rest of his life.

I don't think anyone, male or female, would wish to give me a good stuffing looking like that.

ROFL... I don't know about that....

And yes, there are absolutely some folks here who are not OK with the gay marriage thing. We have a 15,000 post rant on that somewhere around here.

Good for you you are part of the smallest percentage of people who actually may listen and comprehend. And you are right many good folks around these parts. One thing we all have in common is we all love/like photography.

I'd say I've become more understanding of the opposition as people as a result of the conversation, regardless of the topic. The best example being religion where I feel I've found compromises with what most consider the diametrically opposed. And you, coronamv, have the most accepting Rant post ever!

The only thing I can find to argue with is against ND football, which was a belief before there was any concrete reason to support it, so no real claims there! You seem too easy going to be posting in this neck of the woods ;) Admittedly, I'd consider myself relatively easygoing too though... so what does that say?

Oh, and Cory, I know a fellow freesurfer when they reference 4chan. Also, nobody go there. DPC is happy and everything you ever need :) Hell, my mountaineering forum is at least 10 times more inflammatory than anything ever gets here, and its moderated and about mountaineering!
