I know it is strange, but I like it! What do you think? Thanks for any comments that you are willing to give me. And, don't go easy on me, I need to improve!

Crop out the right side of the composition and throw the overblown sky away. This would get rid of the distraction and make you focus in on the subject.

Your feet look nice. The sky to the right is blown out. You might either crop that out or try taking the photo later in the day or early in the morning when the light is not so harse if possible.

I think the color might be off just a tiny bit... perhaps a little more red in the skin tones would help.

If you keep the sky, it might be good to put a thin black border around the entire picture to hold it all together.

Otherwise, red is a good complement to green. So the idea is worth merit... keep experimenting and see what works.

As has already been said the sky is blown out. I'd also loose the leather sandles as I think they detract from you toes a bit. I love the contrast of the leaves Vs the feet.

I would reshoot but to maintain a similiar composition I would get the feet higher up or the leaves lower down which would give you extra contrast and no blown sky.
