We will not let Lost run for President, even if he might be smarter than a certain wealthy developer ... besides, he's already crossed the US and is too far behind schedule to backtrack now.

It's only about 1 year behind LOL at least the pair of them are still doing the tour and we are still documenting it.. When all is done & said I will be asking everyone to edit 3 of their best pics from the tour and send them to me for the legendary book.

Hey, my wife's family is from Iowa. It's pretty there. (she is also looking over my shoulder) At the rate the penguin is going though, MAK will be lucky to get back much more than a dust bunny.

Edited: to fix, and say DARN YOU AUTO CORRECT!

Progress report on the travels of Lost and Found.

yesterday, I took the little guys to the top of San Bruno Mountain for a panoramic view of the Bay Area and then over to Marin County for one last close up of the Golden Gate Bridge. The remainder of San Francisco's streets were in use by other vehicles on a perfect Tourist day, so we retreated to home base. Pictures to follow.

This morning, Lost and Found are on their way to Treasure Island - an island mid-way between San Francisco and Oakland. The ceremonial handoff to GeneralE on TI will be recorded by BrennanOB after a tour of the historic island. Isaac will be a witness to the festivities.

Then this much traveled pair will undoubtedly be off to Southern California, Hawaii, New Zealand, and more.

Thanks for the pictures and stories Alice. You are the best tour guide ever!

Well, the saga continues...
On Friday the 24th, Lost & Found came with me to the top of San Bruno Mountain, with vistas pretty clear and not too windy... If he h adn't been mugging the camera, this is what he would have seen. Yes, after the road ends, there's a trail... which we declined. After that windblown trip, we Headed over to Marin County for the very special shot of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Now, Saturday was to be the GTG with the East bay bunch, but due to the case of the missing landmark, and a horrendously crowded flea market in its place, well, we missed each other. So, after perfunctory pics of a historic Worlds Fair Bldg , the cloudy San Francisco skyline, and a glimpse of the Oakland side of the Bay Bridge, we regrouped for another day.
:(

With it already being close to 2 years behind schedule (but fun) it would not be an option to add people to the list as it is still a lot of people waiting for ages and ages etc, hope you understand :)

He's nearing the end of his US tour and will soon be off to another (hopefully more quickly paced) hemisphere.

Or maybe continents?
His passport goes from England & North Wales, to Finland, Norway, Germany, Macedonia, Italy, Canada and the USA.
Of the 55 DPCers Lost is slated to visit, he's now on #39. So, yes, he's taking a leisurely stroll through our DPC world, but he is progressing!

I meant, only two countries on your continent :-).

He's doing great. Seeing him visit all those amazing locations, and to think we used to have him right here in this room!

Lost, and his friend, Found are visiting with GeneralE at the present time.
After GeneralE, it's HiHoSilver, and then fittingly, it's awaaaay to Hawaii and onward.

OK, the birds have finally flown(?) South for the Winter almost-Fall ...

We didn't get around nearly as much as I expected (procrastination is one of my specialties), but we did get up to Berkeley's famous Telegraph Avenue area, though I tried to avoid the tie-dyed cliche ...

One of the first herbal shops in town -- you can get almost any herb but pot ...

How do you fit that in your pocket?

A store just for socks ... right.

We decided not to visit this cousin ...

We also dropped by the local branch of the Oakland Library, a legacy of the robber-baron Andrew Carnegie's later philanthropic efforts.

Temescal (nee Alden) Branch

Amazed that a library lends more than books!

We finally took him to Steve's house in Paradise, CA, for a recording session (in Steve's garage) a couple of weeks ago, where Steve and Sharon arranged a surprise family reunion.

We've been at it so long we're in syndication.

Bartender: Can I draw you a beer, Lost?
Lost: No, I know what they look like. Just pour me one.

Bartender: How's a beer sound, Lost?
Lost: I dunno. I usually finish them before they get a word in.

Bartender: Nice cold beer coming up, Lost.
Lost: You mean, `Nice cold beer going down Lost.'
