I'm looking for a good book/website/videos that show different lighting setups for different types of lighting effects etc. Something with examples, easy and more complex setups, the reason for different modifiers and what they can do and so on. Right now I'm working with a 430 EX II, a 500W studio strobe, 2 hard lights, and a bunch of different modifiers.

I'd be interested in a good book, too.

Hotshoe Diaries is speedlight based but still very good. I also just got Sketching Light for Christmas but have not had a chance to read it yet (though it does look very good, as well, and probably more detailed). McNally is pretty easy to read- very conversational.

I don't have it, but from what I know about it, Syl Arena's book would be perfect. It apparently has lots of comparison images showing different modifiers etc. It is speedlight-centric, but the premise of a modifier will remain the same regardless of light source.. Chromeydome throws out some additional suggestions in the thread you created awhile back, too.

Lastly, I stumbled on this, which can be a great tool. It shows a comparison of all of Broncolor's modifiers.

Scott Kelby's "Light it Shoot it Retouch it" is perfect for what you asking for.
