I was wondering how folks feel about their entry that scored lowest... I've poked around in profiles and reverse sorted a few folks entries and have often liked their lowest scores very much...

Personally I still like mine. Now that I look with 10+ years behind me, I'd have done something about the shadows on the table, the pitcher in the foreground, maybe crop a "little" tighter to get rid of the table corner.

But I still like the blurred motion of the arm. That was actually the main point of the pic to me.

So, what about yours?

Intentional effort at the brown, but I was beat out by Charliebaker and a black square.

3.6014 - I think hunters call it buck fever, except this was a doe. I was just so excited to get an actual picture of a live deer in the wild. It was quite dark, and I could just barely see it. Unfortunately the autofocus decided I was trying to shoot the tree on the right side, so the tree is in focus, but the deer is not. 1600 iso. I tried (in vain) to save it in editing (oh foolish one).

I have several personal favorites in my last ten as far as DPC scores go.

3.88 (Lowest scoring photo, so far)

4.24

4.65 (Still one of my favorite photos)

4.70

3.9736 and not even close to brown! Those were the good ol' days when you had to earn a brown!
12/15/2012 04:06:15 AM · #11

3.8202 - Technically it was horrible, but the camera had a lot to do with that. It couldn't manage the brown though. That had to wait for this one:

4.2029 - Taken last year with my 7D. I can't blame the camera for that. Maybe it's not as sharp as it could be but I still don't think it deserved the brown.

I rather like this one. I think it's time I dragged my Lensbaby out of hibernation.

Just my opinion, but the trick with a Lensbaby is that something should still be in focus. ;-)

4.8000

I still like it. It's not a super entry but it's been a funny set up and I learned a lot from that image, not about technique, but about what an image needs to be interesting.

I still like this one. Knock Knees was a fun model to shoot. I'll have to give him another shout sometime. 3.59

I gave this an 8. That was a long time ago.

3.1754 I made the mistake of being creative and humorous. I do like this image and I felt if one had an imagination, it met the challenge. But, there are a lot of voters who are more interested in voting down an image because it doesn't meet their narrow challenge description definition.

Still like it as a cartoon impression of speed. Ended up with six ones, ten twos, and score 4.1500 -- so obviously others had a different expectation for the challenge entries.

I still remember shooting this and being pleased to enter it.

I just barely beat you in that challenge with 3.936 Candelabra (an upside down wind chime).

I still like my 2nd worst:

I don't like the centering on it, and I probably should have done it from a little farther back with the a white line in the frame, but it is pretty close to how I pictured it.

I'll post mine after current voting ends. Yikes.
